Alright, buckle up—because here’s the extended take, keeping the flavor of the original but with some extra layers and a bit more meat on the bones:
Embarking on the path of yoga does not end with a 200-hour program, that’s basically just getting your foot in the door. The real journey kicks off when you decide to dive deeper, and that’s exactly what the 300 hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh is all about. People always talk about “finding themselves” and all that, but honestly, there’s something different about being in a place like Rishikesh. You’ve got the holy Ganges right there, the Himalayas kind of looming in the background, and this buzz in the air that just screams, “Yeah, this is where yoga was meant to happen.” It’s not hype—it’s just how it feels.
At Rishikesh Yog Sansthan, they don’t mess around with the 300 hour Yoga TTC. This course is crafted for people who already survived the 200-hour grind and are now ready to take things next-level, both in their own practice and when it comes to teaching others. So, you’re not just doing sun salutations on repeat; you’re getting into the nitty-gritty of Hatha, Ashtanga, and Iyengar. Plus, there’s a heavy dose of advanced pranayama, meditation (the real stuff, not just sitting quietly), yoga philosophy that’ll actually make your brain hurt a little, and yoga anatomy. It’s not just about learning to bend more—it’s about understanding what’s happening inside your body *while* you do it.
The course isn’t exactly a walk in the park, either. Over more than four weeks, you’re pretty much living and breathing yoga—early mornings, long days, a bunch of practice teaching, and, yeah, probably some sore muscles. But here’s the kicker: after all that sweat and effort, you walk away with more than just new poses and some Sanskrit phrases. You actually build a deeper spiritual connection to what yoga is supposed to be about—kind of like peeling back the layers and realizing, “Whoa, there’s a whole universe under here.”
And don’t worry, this isn’t some fringe operation. The program is Yoga Alliance recognized, so you know you’re getting something legit. People rave about it as one of the best 300 hour yoga teacher training in India, and honestly, you can see why. It’s this mashup of ancient wisdom and modern teaching know-how—so you’re not just sitting cross-legged listening to stories, you’re learning how to actually teach, inspire, and support others too. Whether you’re obsessed with mastering advanced asanas, want to geek out about alignment, or just love getting lost in the deep philosophical rabbit holes, this course helps you grow in every direction. No one’s left behind.
And the location? Don’t underestimate it. Rishikesh isn’t just a backdrop; it’s a whole vibe. You’re absorbing the spiritual energy of the saints, the temples, the sacred riverbanks—heck, even the cows wandering the streets feel kind of mystical after a while. The 300 hour yoga teacher training here goes way beyond a certificate you can hang on a wall. It’s a total game-changer. You’ll leave with a stronger practice, more confidence in your teaching, and, honestly, a feeling that you’ve plugged into something timeless and real. This is yoga in its purest, rawest form, and it kind of sticks with you long after you leave.
Opportunities: Experience yoga culture and tradition of India, discussion sessions, treatment for minor health issues, internet facility, and small outings.
It requires more than merely hours to graduate to a 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training; it requires a deep, refined, and changed practice, teaching ability and life. The following are some of the key advantages that you will gain once you join the 300-Hour TTC at Rishikesh Yog Sansthan:
Our yoga school? Planted right in Yog Nagri Rishikesh, no less—the “yoga capital of the world.” People always toss that phrase around, but here, it actually means something. And yeah, we’re not shy about it: we’re officially certified by Yoga Alliance USA. That stamp is a big deal. It means our yoga teacher trainings aren’t just some random local gig—they actually match up with the gold standard for yoga all over the globe. You finish our course, you’re not just a yoga teacher, you’re a yoga teacher with credentials people actually recognize everywhere. Want to wander off to Bali or Berlin and start teaching? You’re good. No need to worry about your certificate being “just for show.”
Now, let’s talk about our advanced programs—specifically, our 300 hour Yoga TTC in India. This isn’t for folks just dipping their toes in. You gotta have your 200 hour training under your belt already. So if you’re ready to go all-in—really expand your practice, dig deeper into teaching, and honestly, push yourself—this one’s for you. The course is deeply rooted in Hatha, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa traditions, but we’re not stuck in the past either. We blend that ancient wisdom with new-school methods—stuff that actually works in a modern class where someone’s probably gonna ask about their lower back or why they can’t sit still for five minutes.
The training itself? It’s immersive—like, “eat, sleep, breathe yoga” for real. You’ll get to work on advanced asanas (poses that make your regular sun salutation look like child’s play), learn powerful pranayama techniques, and discover ways to meditate that don’t just put you to sleep. Yoga philosophy? We go deep, but we don’t get all preachy. Anatomy makes an appearance too—because let’s face it, you should probably know what’s going on inside your own body if you’re gonna teach people to twist and stretch. And teaching methodology—it’s not just about standing in front of a room and reciting instructions. We’ll show you how to connect, inspire, and guide a class, even when everyone’s having “one of those days.”
Our teachers are the real deal—years of experience, but they’re not just yoga robots barking orders. They teach with heart, compassion, and yeah, precision too. They’ll push you, but they’ve also got your back. You’ll leave the course not just with more knowledge, but with the confidence to actually lead a class without feeling like an imposter.
Choosing our Yoga Alliance 300 hour Yoga teacher training in Rishikesh isn’t just about ticking off another box or collecting a piece of paper. It’s a full-on, life-altering adventure—one that’ll stick with you long after you’ve packed up and left Rishikesh. You come for the certification, but you leave with a whole lot more. If you’re ready for that kind of journey, well—see you on the mat.
Our 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training will help you develop your yoga skills and build self-confidence. You will also learn about meditation and yoga philosophy. This course is a great way to start your journey as a yoga teacher.
Oh, you want me to stick close to the original but go deeper? Alright, here’s the deal—
The 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training Course in Rishikesh at Rishikesh Yog Sansthan isn’t just a box to check if you’re into yoga. It’s this whole transformative ride that’s really for folks who are obsessed with going beyond the basics—like, you breathe yoga, you dream about sun salutations, you want to geek out on philosophy and anatomy, the whole nine yards. And, yeah, it’s certified by Yoga Alliance USA, so you know it’s not some fly-by-night operation. That stamp means you’re getting some of the best teachings out there, straight from the yoga capital of the world.
Here, you’re not just rolling out a mat for a couple of casual stretches. Each day, you’re clocking in about 6 to 7 hours of real, hands-on learning. We’re talking about advanced asanas that’ll test your limits, pranayama techniques that might just blow your mind (or at least your lungs), and meditation sessions that dig way deeper than your average “close your eyes and breathe.” On top of that, you’ll dive into the heavy stuff—yoga philosophy and anatomy. It’s not just about nailing a handstand; it’s about understanding what’s happening inside your head and your muscles while you do it. You’ll start to notice how your awareness shifts, how you teach changes, and, honestly, how you see yourself.
Now, the vibe? Pure magic. You’ve got the Himalayan foothills chilling in the background, the Ganga flowing like something out of a movie, and this whole atmosphere that just oozes peace (well, until you’re struggling with your third chaturanga of the morning). The discipline here is real—expect early mornings, structure, and a solid dose of spirituality. But mixed in with all that, there’s space for you to grow, mess up, and find your own rhythm.
Globally, this course has some serious street cred. People know it, respect it, and if you’re planning to teach internationally or just want to be the go-to yoga teacher in your own city, this is the kind of training that sets you apart. It’s challenging, no question. Enlightening? For sure, especially if you’re open to digging in and letting yourself be changed by the process. Bottom line: if you want one of the best, this 300 hour TTC in India is kinda hard to beat.
Note: Depending on the season, weather the timetable and timings can be subject to change.

The 300 hour course is aimed at students who need to have already had a certified 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training carried out by a Yoga Alliance-registered school. It is ideal to teachers and practitioners wishing to learn more about asana, philosophy, pranayama, and teaching methodology. A little experience in teaching is desirable, but not essential.
Whereas the 200 hour TTC will present you with the basics of yoga, the 300 hour program will guide you more in-depth and advanced asana, pranayama, sequencing, meditation and yoga philosophy. It focuses on honing the teaching abilities, building confidence and learning yoga as a complete way of life. Students who are successful in the 300 hour course are eligible to receive RYT-500 certification through Yoga Alliance.
Students have a strict schedule, which typically starts with pranayama and early morning meditation and then asana. Mid-mornings usually involve a lecture on philosophy or anatomy, and afternoons are usually devoted to teaching methodology, alignment or advanced practices. Evenings tend to have meditation, chanting or group discussions. Proper meal, rest and self study breaks are also incorporated.
The program is majorly a blend of Hatha and Ashtanga yoga with some exposure to Vinyasa yoga, Pranayama and meditation. Yoga therapy, sequencing, subtle energy practices including chakras, mudras and bandhas are also studied by the students. This multi approach will make sure that the trainee has depth and versatility in his or her teaching.
Students that successfully graduate the 300 hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh are awarded a certificate by the Yoga Alliance. This allows you to become an RYT-300 or RYT-500 (when paired with your 200 hour training) and teach yoga in any part of the world and be respected and well known.
No, there is no requirement of previous teaching experience. But after attending a 200 hour TTC, you have an excellent base. The 300 hour course is concentrated on selection of teaching methodology, that is why you will be practising peer teaching, sequence, making adjustments, and be provided with constructive feedback to develop the confidence in leading classes.
The school also tends to take very comfortable and clean rooms near the camp of the yoga. The rooms are shared and private, according to your choice. The restaurant serves three healthy vegetarian meals a day, which are made in line with the principles of the yogic diet. Nutritious meals are also intended to help you practice, fresh vegetables, grains, fruits and herbal teas.
Complete beginners are not advised to take the 300 hour course. It is a post-secondary training, which has to be based on a 200 hour TTC. Before they can enroll in this program, beginners must successfully complete a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training to ensure their ability to maintain the pace and intensity.
Students will be advised to carry comfortable yoga clothes, personal toiletries, reusable water bottle, notebook, and any personal yoga props they wish. Although the school offers most of the props, such as mats, blocks and straps, it is more convenient to have your own necessities so that the practice can be more personalized.
The 300 hour TTC focuses on sophisticated alignment, sequencing and class design. You will have a better understanding of the yoga philosophy, anatomy, and subtle energy systems. Real-time practice, peer teaching and feedback allow you to hone your teacher presence. At the completion of the course, you will get more confident, learned, and motivated to lead others in a genuine manner.

As the old saying goes, "We are what we eat". It is always necessary to watch what we consume, for it is a known fact that the food we eat not only affects our physical health, but also translates into our emotions and thoughts. Instead of categorising food into the usual carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, the science of Yoga groups food according to the way they influence our mind and body. The state of our mind and body is divided into three stages– Sattva, Rajas and Tamas. Tamasic foods are the kind of foods that affect you in such a way that we end up feeling lethargic and dysfunctional. Rajasic foods tend to make you bring about hyperactivity and a sort of irritable restlessness. Sattvic foods, however, are the most balanced. They make you feel just right, in good spirits, and full of life.

I did my 200 hr YTT here in Feb/March 2018 with some of the best teachers worldwide who made afterwards international career. Dr. Amaravathi Eraballi is still there and it is definitely worth to learn from her! She is passionate and her English is amazing. I had 4 wonderful weeks there, which were the base and start for my ongoing Yoga teacher career in Switzerland. Teaching 5 years now I still think back of the beginnings in Rishikesh where it all started to original. Very thankful for the time.
I had a wonderful time at Rishikesh Yog Sansthan where I did the 15 day retreat. There was me and two YTTC students in total and very quickly, a family bond formed between us students, teachers and other staff. The teachers were fantastic. The asana teacher, Shubham, progressed me into another level of practice; Ammu was very knowledgeable, wise and taught me a lot; and Poormina encouraged meaningful meditation and was so lovely!
I recently travelled from the UK to Rishikesh just to visit Rishikesh Yog Sansthan on a private basis, and it was wonderful experience. Teachers knowledge of yoga is impressive and they were always willing to answer my questions patiently and thoughtfully. Dr. Ammu and her team were warm, welcoming and kind throughout my stay and I wish I could have stayed longer. The new school building and rooms are bright, clean and each have their own en-suite bathroom. The food was healthy and delicious and our meals together were a special time - it felt like we were part of a family. I hope to be back next year for more training with the school, they really go out of their way to make sure everyone is comfortable and cared for. If you are thinking of completing any yoga teacher training with Rishikesh Yog Sansthan, I would highly recommend going for it. You’ll come away with an incredibly enriching and authentic experience and an opportunity to make lifelong friends from all over the world.
I have a great time thanks to the amazing teachers Amaravathi Eraballi, Shubham Bhandari and Spirituall Yoga. Their dedication and attention to my needs made me improve greatly and let me find where I needed to focus in order to grow. I am very grateful to the patience they showed with me (great amount was needed) and their kindness. I would recommend any course with them. ♥️
I undertook RYT200 in Rishikesh where Amaravathi taught the physiology studies. Her lessons were clear, the pace of which catered for the individual students; diagrams, cross references, examples were included. The lessons were open to questions and a subject was fully covered and discussed to gain a proper understanding before moving onto the next. The feel was relaxed without rush and fun, yet informative and in depth. She is a kind person always smiling and happy to discuss anything. Her knowledge of Yoga is second to none and this shows within the physical practice as well as the theoretical. I would without a doubt study more with Amaravathi and be sure to come away with a deeper understanding of not just Yoga bit life as a whole.
